Barracuda Unveils Threatglass

There’s nothing scarier than a “good site gone bad”, whereby a legitimate and trustable websites gets compromised and feeds malware and such on unsuspecting visitors. Barracuda Networks, a provider of cloud-connected security and storage solution, has just announced the launch of Threatglass.com, an online malware detection tool designed for users to share, browse and analyze malware infected sites. Threatglass was originally an internal tool designed for the company. The website is designed to track if a website is infected with malware simply visiting a website from thousands of virtual machines, seeing how it affects the browser, plugins and the operating system. The company has recently detected malware in popular sites like Cracked.com, Php.net and Hasbro.com. To date, Threatglass has a database of approximately 10,000 live malware attacks and is constantly updating new ones everyday to its system.
