With the arrival of the new PlayStation 4 console, new range of accessories that are made for the console will naturally come along as well. One of the latest in the pipeline is the newly announced Sony PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset. Just like previous generation of PlayStation-branded wireless headset, the new Sony PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset offers 7.1 virtual surround sound although this particular model does come with the support for custom audio modes from game developers. These audio modes will be available through the Headset Companion App that will be released on PlayStation Store for PS3 and PS4 later this month. Additionally, it is also equipped with a hidden noise-cancelling microphone for voice chat. Despite being designed for PS4 and PS3 consoles, the headset’s wireless dongle can also be used on PC. Furthermore, Sony has included a 3.5mm audio jack alongside the headset which allows it to be used with PlayStation Vita and mobile phones in wired mode. With a built-in battery that is able to last up to 8 hours of wireless action, the new Sony PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset is priced at US 99.99. However, the availability date for the headset in our market is not yet available at the time being though.
